Amy Levin LCSW

Amy Levin, LCSW, earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. She has an M.A. from New York University and a B.A. from Grinnell College. Amy has experience working with individuals facing a wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, identity and self-image, grief and loss, and life transitions. She has worked in adult outpatient facilities and community mental health settings with diverse populations, and most recently worked as a mental health and addictions counselor at the JFK Behavioral Health Center Medication Assisted Treatment program in Philadelphia. She trained at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia in the Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program.

As a relational, trauma-informed, psychodynamic therapist, Amy works collaboratively with her clients to meet their specific needs, drawing on a range of techniques including mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy. By building a safe, supportive and trusting relationship, Amy works with individuals to develop a stronger sense of empowerment and control in their lives. Whether through building insight and awareness about reoccurring patterns, or finding practical solutions to promote a more balanced life, she supports others in their journey to create meaningful and lasting change.
