Dr. Gregory Essig

Dr. Gregory Essig, Ph.D., is a 2010 graduate of Purdue University and is a licensed counseling psychologist. He completed his post-doctoral work at Feathergill and Associates and the University counseling centers of Notre Dame and Indiana University-South Bend. For his doctoral internship year he worked for Grand Valley State University performing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy and psychological testing. Dr. Essig has developed a specialization in working with college-aged and adult populations. At Feathergill and Associated he performs individual and couples psychotherapy and psychological testing for diagnostic clarification, personality, intellectual functioning and ADHD, and career assessment. He typically works with individuals ages 18 and over. He utilizes an integrative approach to offer a highly personalized therapy to meet the needs of each client. His treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Process/Psychodynamic based therapies. Dr. Essig’s primary interests include the treatment of depression, anxiety, couples issues, grief and loss, identity confusion, stress management and life transition, career counseling, and relationship problems.
